Kirkman is a genius at plotting but less so at dialogue. After a while, Mark gets a bit trapped in a cycle of misery whenever he's not fighting aliens. Ottley's art is functional.

With the second season of Invicible out, I went back to read the original comic from the beginning. The plot is really good and the characters are inventive, but the show vastly improves the pretty terrible dialogue.

Just added this to my kindle oasis. Have to read this series after watching the show. The show was amazing and I‘ve heard the comics are as well. Will finish this series before season 2 arrives.

A fresh look at an oversaturated market- thoroughly enjoyed this, read an issue every weekend so I could make the most of it. Well drawn with story arcs nicely laced together.

Love this world, which oftentimes pokes gentle fun at comic book tropes. Love Mark, and how idealistic he is. Love how strong his mother is and how rich and complex a character she is. Love the humor. Just love this.
