pickWake Up! Is a really cute picture book that‘s written by Helen frost and illustrated by Rick Lieder. The genre is poetry so it‘s a great way to introduce poetry into a classroom. It didn‘t win any awards but it is still a great picture book! It is a simple poetry picture book that uses rhyming words. The pictures are beautiful and capturing. alexblanco I‘d use choral reading as a teaching strategy. A UDL strategy I would use would be to offer alternatives for auditory information. I could find a short audio book of it to help aid my hearing impaired students. An ESOL strategy I would use would be to continually monitor students comprehension to make sure they understand poetry & rhyming words. DrSpalding Reading chorally could work with this nonfiction title however reading aloud or allowing this as an independent read or a resource while teaching science could also work. 4y
