For as long Daniella has been married to Joel, theyve received phone calls at odd hours, and late at night. Stopped by Brookline Booksmith right outside Boston tonight after catching a movie (Hell or High Water) at the Coolidge Corner Theatre, an independent movie theater right across the street from the bookstore. 😊 I picked up Unknown Caller and The Fortunes. #getindie

Audrey The one in Newton Center (Newtonville Books?) is also great. It's around the corner from Sycamore Restaurant 💜. I still really really miss Wordsworth in H.Sq. 😥 8y

If you judge this book by its cover and title, it would appear to be some kind of thriller. Don't be fooled! It is actually a very well-written exploration of relationship, family, and invented histories. I liked it enough to pass it on to another discerning reader.

One of the more intriguing books I've gotten lately. A man is about to meet his 17-year-old daughter for the first time, but she never gets off the plane. Both she & her mother seem to have vanished without a trace. This is not billed so much as mystery as an exploration of families & secrets.
