3.5/5â We're slowly making progress. I'm not fond of how one-dimensional Shiva's character/role is. #bookspin

Darn it! Well, there's still five books after this in the series, so I guess things had to get worse before they have a chance to get better; I just got spoiled by the turning point in the last volume. No fluffy moments in this volume, just action and plot, but it moves along at a good clip.

I just keep giving these books 5 stars, but it's always so deserved! This volume was one giant conflict that kept going all the way to the very end. Teacher's choices on how to protect Shiva was heartbreaking, but it all felt incredibly necessary. I have no idea what's going to happen because of course instead of a resolution, we got a cliffhanger! Can't wait to dive into volume 8!
