pickI thought this wildly eye-opening book(pictured)by S&S editor-in-chief would be all about Jackie Susann, since it became a cheesy-fun film with Bette Midler. Turns out Korda handled many 70s authors & sunk a shocking bundle of $$ publicizing their books. They even gave away silver ankhs to promote The Love Machine! He also handled McMurtry,& Joan Crawford—who gave advice on raising kids in her memoir. What?!?🤦🏻♀️😳

TheAromaofBooks So I really wanted to send you a small birthday gift. It's obviously taken me way past your birthday to accomplish this 😂 I fit it into a box, but then when I got to the post office my PO lady basically told me I was ridiculous and repackaged the entire thing so that it would fit into a flat rate envelope and go for half the price. So if it packaging seems a little wonky... it is! 😆 3y

TheAromaofBooks Yay!!! So glad it got their safely. It's mostly been sitting on my table for two weeks 😂 My PO lady really does rock. She rules that post office with an iron fist (and by that I mean everyone who goes there since she's the only employee who works there) but she does look out for us, too! 3y
