I've now read the first 3 books in the series, and I do think I will continue to collect and read these books when I need something funny and delightful in between my other reads.

Julie Anne Long is the only romance writer who has made me purchase multiple books in a series.

So happy to have discovered her through book club 🙂

I adored this book, second in the Palace of Rogues series. Not only do you get to see Angelique, who's been through some very tough times, find her HEA, but you also laugh at the witty dialogue. It's the kind of quick repartee that first got me reading Long in the first place. 4.75❤️

Do you have those authors who write so beautifully and immerse you so thoroughly in their stories that you wait with bated breath for their next book to be written?! Julie Anne Long is one of those authors for me. Her writing is one of a very few authors that I feel compelled to highlight on my Kindle. She is a master at fleshing out characters...you KNOW them and live with them while you‘re visiting their world.

This is the second in series ⬇️

robinb and I honestly believe she topped the first one. This is the story of Angelique and Lucien, two characters who have lived through some tough times and built hard shells to protect themselves from further hurt. I absolutely ADORED watching their growth, listening to their witty repartee and cheering for their slow slide toward love. Loved these characters (and all the secondary ones as well)! So looking forward to the next in series! 5+/5⭐️ 5y
