Crocodiles and alligators may seem ferocious and scary, but renowned science author Seymour Simon confirms that they?re also endlessly fascinating. Around since the time of dinosaurs, crocodiles and alligators eat without chewing, have three eyelids, and provide good living conditions for other animals. With the use of eighteen stunning full-colour photographs, Simon explores the wonders of these stealthy giants in an exciting up-close and personal way. Ages 8+

This NF book by Seymour Simon explores the intriguing world of crocodilians, and compares and contrasts the similarities and differences between the different crocodilians, including crocodiles, alligators, caimans, and gharials. This would work best as IR or PR. ESOL strategy 45, “Use Venn diagrams to contrast and compare activities,” would work perfectly here. #UCFLAE3414F19

JennaMichelleCohn UDL 6.3, “facilitate managing information and resources,” would be great here, as well as 3.3, “guide information processing and visualization,” because there is a lot of information in this piece, and the teacher should make sure to help guide the students and help them breakdown and digest all of it. 3mo
JennaMichelleCohn https://study.com/academy/popular/compare-and-contrast-lesson-plan.html this lesson plan would be great in helping students really understand comparing and contrasting. 3mo
DrSpalding I agree, this book could be used in a variety of ways! Nonfiction and using graphic organizers to compare and contrast content such as two similar yet different animals has an important place in your science instruction. 1mo

I took a break from reading to see Crawl yesterday. This is a perfect movie accompaniment to our #LMPBC #GROUPV #Round6 Creature Feature.
