Gil was a paradise and the first stop of the Sherank in their conquest of the world. Only a Scion of Oballef can use the power of the Lady in Gil to restore its glory but the statue was lost, hidden from the Sherkin and the only Scion of age is no hero.
A solid story, well written and I did want to find out what happened next. Could be read as a stand-alone despite the bitter-sweet ending - but I have the other books in the trilogy ...

*Extremely* busy few days but now I get to sit outside and reread an old favourite for somewhat legitimate research purposes 😍 I really hope it lives up to my memory.
