Women of the Word
Women of the Word: How to Study the Bible with Both Our Hearts and Our Minds | Jen Wilkin
We all know its important to study Gods Word. But sometimes its hard to know where to start. Whats more, a lack of time, emotionally driven approaches, and past frustrations can erode our resolve to keep growing in our knowledge of Scripture. How can we, as Christian women, keep our focus and sustain our passion when reading the Bible? Offering a clear and concise plan to help women go deeper in their study of Scripture, this book will equip you to engage Gods Word in a way that trains your mind and transforms your heart.

I was impressed with Wilkin‘s willingness to discuss topics generally ignored by the Christian community, such as viewing the Bible as a work of literature (🤩)! however, I am extremely hesitant about her formulaic approach of reading the Bible. it‘s important to remember we are perusing relationship, not mastery of a textbook. that being said, she makes a lot of good points and I think it‘s an overall good read.

FeastOfFiction @lauraodom I did a bible study on Women of the Word. Really good stuff! It really improved the way I studied my bible. 6y
lauraodom @FeastOfFiction I‘m currently involved in a study of Matthew led by the author and she is excellent. I could listen to her talk all day. So much meat! I‘m looking forward to reading her book. 6y
