A beautiful short story about potential human/alien interaction in the far future, with the alien as narrator. Nnedi is excellent as always.

I did some #audiobaking while I finished off the June 2019 issue of CLARKESWORLD. I thought I‘d used this gingerbread recipe before with good results, but it isn‘t spiced heavily enough for my palate so I guess not. Poop. At least the cookies are kinda cute (minus the pumpkins; I underestimated how much icing I should tint orange).
#READATHONSTORIES Does a serial magazine with a few anthologies under it's belt count? I'm addicted to Clarkesworld recently. Even when I finish the new issues I go out and order more back issues and the anthologies of their 'Best of...'. For SFF shorts this where it's at, they're diverse and well edited. I may just love Neil Clarke as an editor honestly.
