So, I wanted to mention this book, but didn't feel comfortable reviewing it due to the subject matter (hence the lack of rating.) The Slave Across the Street tells of a young, teenage girl from Detroit & how she ends up in sexual servitude. It's an eye-opening account that was incredibly hard to read, but I do urge anyone who picks up this book to persevere. Hopefully, one day, humans get it together & stamp out this horrific behaviour.
