The Clockwork Three
The Clockwork Three | Matthew J. Kirby
An enchanted green violin, an automaton that comes to life, and a hidden treasure. . . . THE CLOCKWORK THREE is a richly woven adventure story that is sure to become a classic! Three ordinary children are brought together by extraordinary events. . . Giuseppe is an orphaned street musician from Italy, who was sold by his uncle to work as a slave for an evil padrone in the U.S. But when a mysterious green violin enters his life he begins to imagine a life of freedom. Hannah is a soft-hearted, strong-willed girl from the tenements, who supports her family as a hotel maid when tragedy strikes and her father can no longer work. She learns about a hidden treasure, which she knows will save her family -- if she can find it.

Date night meant spending a rainy evening at the consignment shop where I discovered these. Brain on Fire is the only one I‘d heard of but I‘m a sucker for a signed copy and a creepy clock story. #bookhaul #booknerddatenight

Starting this book. Not usually my genre but figured I would give it a try. Bought this for $1.00 at a thrift shop.

Another night out with the BFF perusing the book stores. Bottom three were a total of $8. I ❤️❤️ the clearance section at HPB! Also, stopped by the craft store to get a mat and frame for my beautiful heffalump picture!!

bookdrunkard78 I think the frame and matting turned out real cute! 7y
Patrella @bookdrunkard78 Yeah! The picture doesn't do it justice. I'm so happy with it! Now I have to figure out where to hang it! 7y

I read this (well attempted) in 4-6 grade. It was very difficult for my reading level and I never got interested and never really finished the book. I really can't get interested now and finish, so I will end this with...
