Still, Priss was his best friend, his salvation from the bullies who called him loser and fatboyand from his familys deadly secrets. Now that theyve both escaped to New York City, Ian no longer inhabits the tortured shell of his childhood. He is a talented and successful graphic novelist, and PrissPriss is still trouble. The booze, the drugs, the sexIan is growing tired of late nights together trying to keep the past at bay. Just finished off this audiobook. I have a habit of choosing books by their covers, so the storyline wasn‘t what I expected, but I still really enjoyed it. Suspenseful and easy to tear through in one sitting. Recommend. 🖤♥️🖤

Not as good as In the Blood but I still liked it & it kept me reading late into the night. I can't wait to get my hands on another Lisa Unger book!

RadicalReader @Night_Reader was interested in checking out In The Blood as an introduction to Lisa Unger books and happily discovered that I had one in my library haul from yesterday 6y

Slowly getting back to reading now that my vertigo has subsided a bit.

JoeStalksBeck I had vertigo years ago and omg, it's the worst! Even after it stopped I would stumble to my right. Glad you're feeling better! 7y
EloisaJames Vertigo is awful! Have you listened to Serial? Got me through a bout of being unable to read. 7y
Night_Reader @EloisaJames I'll remember that for next time it comes back. 7y

First book for the reading challenge, finished late last night and what a crazy book! It started out really good, got me hooked with cliffhangers and interesting things happening. Priss was a cool character; mysterious and you often wondered what the deal was with her. This book lost its glory in the last third part of the book. The ending seemed rushed and some things never quite added up.
