Loving Isaac
Loving Isaac | Heather Kaufman
1 post | 1 read | 1 to read
Pastor Matthew Schofield loves his books, his writing, and his small Oklahoma congregation. His life is studious and predictable, just the way he likes it. And then he meets Hana Howard and her son, Isaac, who are anything but quiet, anything but predictable, and his world is forever changed.

All the stars! Isaac (a 7-year-old with autism) and his mom Hana are escaping an abusive relationship. They stay with Hana's sister for the summer. The pastor of their church just happens to be single... This isn't your typical fluffy Christian fiction. This is Christian fiction with meat on its bones. This book shows both the reality of our messy human relationships and the unconditional love of God. It is an absolutely wonderful read.
