On a ship of mischievous brigands--who have visions of treasure chests dancing in their heads--Sir Peggedy, with his peg leg and hook arm, pays a visit to the child-friendly pirates along with his eight giant seahorses: Salty, Scurvy, Sinbad, Mollie, Cutthroat, Cross-Eyes, Roger, and Jolly.

This was a super fun find in my collection! The pirates await Sir Peggedy to bring their gifts on the night before Christmas. His sleigh is drawn not by reindeer, but by seahorses. “More sluggish than flounders, his coursers they came … Now Salty, Now, Scurvy! Now Sinbad an‘ Mollie!”

I‘ve been feeling extra exhausted these past few days, so I‘ve been taking it easy and doing more research on children‘s holiday books. Gotta get that wish list ready for when Benjamin‘s here! ❤️ Over the past two days, I‘ve finished about 45 books, which will bring in a ton of points between #WGwordsearch #photochallenges. My favourite is tagged!

This was hard. It tried to keep the Night before christmas cadence, but the rhymes were harsh in multiple places and caused things to fall apart. The story is also lack luster. The illustrations are nice, but not a bit that makes me think of christmas.
