My pick for today's #spookyoctober theme. A story about a #courageous American doctor and his family who were spies for the Allies during Nazi controlled Paris.

I'm halfway through this story of one family's involvement in the French resistance.

Update: the beginning is good, but the middle onwards is a page turner. Lots of hardship, trauma, and suspense in these pages.

The latest is Avenue of Spies by Alex Kershaw, and I hope it's not too much of a spoiler to say that I absolutely LOVED it 😍📚

The occupation of France, and resistance work, from the perspective of one family. Learned much about what it feels like to live in an occupied country. Well worth the Listen.
