This short story is completely unhinged! I loved it!

A surgeon is shipwrecked alone on an island with nothing but a bunch of heroin and there is nothing available to eat. It‘s so gross, it‘s so gory. It‘s unthinkable. But it‘s SO Stephen King.

Why I enjoy stories like this, I‘ll never know! But I do, especially when they‘re by the King, and this was gleefully fun to read. Don‘t judge me. #readingStephenKing

Reggie King and Clive Barker are the reason I love short stories. I remember reading Nightmares and Dreamscapes and just loving it. 2mo

A few months ago, I saw Stephen King interviewed on a late night show while he was promoting Billy Summers. The host asked him to name his favorite 5 books...4 were the usual suspects: The Stand, Misery, etc, but one was a short story called Survivor Type, which is included in this collection. I‘m only planning to read that story...for now. 😊#bookspinbingo
