An epic tale of love and revenge set in a world inspired by Inquisition-era Spain pits the magical Moria against a terrifying royal authority bent on their destruction. When the royal family of Selvina sets out to destroy magic through a grand and terrible inquisition, magic warrior-thief Renata - trained in the art of stealing memories-seeks to kill the prince, leader of the King's Justice, only to learn through powerful memories that he may be the greatest illusion of them all ... and that the fate of all magic now lies in her hands. With the ferocity of series like Ember in the Ashes and Throne of Glass and loosely based on 15th century Spain, INCENDIARY explores the double-edged sword of memory and the triumph of hope in the midst of fear and oppression.

I stopped 100 pages in because I didn't care what was going on. I've heard that it gets better but I don't have the time or patience to slog through a book in hopes that it gets better

I didn't care about the romance or the main character which were, unfortunately, integral to the plot. The world building was amazing and I really tried to enjoy this book but it wasn't for me.

🎧 1st 1/3 of this book was borderline DNF for me. The annoying YA tropes were out of control.

Slowly it turned into a good story.

The last 45% of the book slowly picked up likeability speed & ended with a WHAT DID I JUST READ spin.

The last 50 pages were great & overall if you remove the sour taste, sour stomach & all of the other overly dramatic angsty wording & boring sexy times it would be rated much higher!

⭐️⭐️⭐️7/8 👇🏻

Twainy Renata is a memory thief. Kidnapped by royalty. Forced to kill thousands of her kind. Kidnapped back. Falls in love. YA YA YA. Lands back in the royal court burning with vengeance over the love she lost. Story is spun on its ear in the last few chapters.

I own the OwlCrate edition, it‘s very pretty.

This book was very Interesting and I choose it because I searched books simlar to a series I liked and I stumbled upon this. This book is a definiate recomedation if your the person that loves action and fanstasy. Within the story there are many relationships and growth of the main charater in the book. The Author uses very descriptive words and always leaves you on a clift hanger making you want to read more.
