Painful, heartbreaking, maddening, a 9 years old‘s rape. Immensely difficult to read but important and necessary. Adelaide tells her story so honestly, that at times I felt my heart shatter. And then I think of every little girl, teenager and woman has been dealt this same trauma💔. Read this!
The Little Girl on the Ice Floe by Adelaïde Bon (translated by Tina Kover), this memoir was the most painful book I‘ve ever had to read, both in a good and a bad way.
5 stars, everyone needs to read this.

I was super impressed by Adélaïde. Despite English being her 2nd language she was the most entertaining speaker at the Syd Writer‘s Fest. I saw her x2. Once she spoke on witches & embracing female power & her second talk was on her traumatic childhood. She even dealt with a heckler in the audience with grace. I can‘t wait to read her book that she signed for me. @Miss__astrid & I spotted her numerous xs over the weekend enjoying the fest herself.
