The #1 New York Times bestselling authors latest stand-alone thriller, with a cameo by her fan-favorite character, Boston Detective D.D. Warren My name is Nicky Frank. Except, most likely, it isnt. Nicole Frank shouldnt have been able to survive the car accident, much less crawl up the steep ravine. Not in the dark, not in the rain, not with her injuries. But one thought allows her to defy the odds and flag down help: Vero. Im looking for a little girl. I have to save her. Except, most likely, she doesnt exist. Sergeant Wyatt Foster is frustrated when even the search dogs cant find any trace of the mysterious missing child. Until Nickys husband, Thomas, arrives with a host of shattering revelations: Nicole Frank suffers from a rare brain injury and the police shouldnt trust anything she says. My husband claims hell do anything to save me. Except, most likely, he cant. Who is Nicky Frank, and what happened the night her car sailed off the road? Was it a random accident or something more sinister given the womans lack of family and no close friends? The deeper Wyatt digs, the more concerned he becomes. Because it turns out, in the past few months, Nicky has suffered from more than one close accident. . . . In fact, it would appear someone very much wants her dead. This is my life. Except, most likely, its not. Now watch me crash and burn.

A page turner (that interfered with my other passion, quilting) with crazy twists and turns. Nicky nearly dies in an auto accident and is concerned about the young Vero. Police are debating accident, suicide or murder when the 1st twist shows up…don‘t want to spoil it for you.

Another Lisa Gardner nail biter! That mid-book twist had me like 😱

PS: long time no see, friends! Been in a little bit of a slump reading-wise, but mostly because I have a boy crush going on IRL and it's been very distracting 😆

Amazing book. It is very hard to put down. I love the psychological suspense in it.

I haven't read any books by her lately and she is one of my favorites so I figured I would brush the dust off this book and dive in!

I am one happy woman this morning solely for the fact that the book I ordered arrived about 20 minutes ago. I had been looking for a trade version but all I could find was mass market (eww) and then i stumbled across VJ Books and they had a SIGNED ARC copy. I know what book I'm bringing up north with me. #happyfriyay

This another example as to why I love reading Lisa Gardner, with the unknowing and twist and turns that having you saying "WHAT?" as you turns the pages to the end of the book. Her character D.D warren is an unforgettable character. Gotta love Lisa Gardner

My goodness, the plot twists in this book! It kept me guessing until the very last page. It deals with some tough issues (I have to get away from this accidental theme I'm on), but is quite the intriguing read. If you're like me, you won't be able to stop reading until you know just who Vero is and why she wants to fly.

I'm pretty new to the thriller/suspense genre and I have to say, this book was a pretty good place to start. It led me on a twisty, fast-paced journey that I could NOT walk away from.
