Crash & Burn
Crash & Burn | Abigail Roux
2 posts | 5 read | 1 to read
It's been five years since Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett first worked together to solve the Tri-State murders, and time has been both harsh and kind. Engaged now, they face the challenge of planning a deeply uncertain future together. Zane is at the pinnacle of his career with one last mystery to solve, while Ty is at sea in a world where he's no longer the tip of a spear. There's just one more hurdle in the way of their happy ever after: a traitor from their inner circle who threatens to burn their world to the ground. Squeezed between the Vega cartel, an unknown mole, and too many alphabet agencies to count, Ty and Zane must gather all their strength and resources to beat the longest odds they've ever faced. To make it out alive, they'll need help from every friend they've got. Even the friends who might betray their trust.

Should have bailed. There's too much wrong with this book to really get into. The author clearly ran out of ideas and care after book six. The second half was significantly better than the first but ugh do yourself a favor bail on the series after the sixth.

Swe_Eva I‘m impressed you stuck it out, though. 😉 6y

Finished chapter one... Wow that just happened. The author can't even be bothered anymore. There's contrived and then there's contrived. Nothing about the decisions makes sense. Not one. I'm gonna finish because it's the last book but this series should have ended at book six

Librarian199509 Four chapters in. This is not getting better. Why do I do this to myself. Just bail already self, bail 6y
Swe_Eva Wow, seems like the title is unintentionally apt... 🤔 6y
Librarian199509 @Swe_Eva I had the exact same thought. Got better at about 60% but wow could the author not care less about set up. 6y
