bailedThis was a GoodReads giveaway that I won. Unfortunately, I gave up at 9% because the story could not compete with the lack of editing. It was like the book was dictated and transferred into text, as there was little punctuation and lots of lengthy sentences. It was hard to follow as thoughts would shift mid-sentence. Done right, with some help, this could have been a neat inside perspective tale. I just couldn‘t make it through...
keys_on_fire I left this same review on GoodReads and the author thanked me for my comment. I feel like I was respectful in my writing of my review, but it just makes me feel so bad to leave a review that is not positive. Anyone else have this issue? Ugh 😑 5y

Lcsmcat I totally feel that way! My book group read a book by a local author last month. It was horrible. He asked us to leave reviews on Goodreads and/or Amazon and we all decided we‘d do him a favor and not. 5y
