Mehso-so

I'm still enjoying watching this story unfold, even though some of the characters act in ways that don't completely make sense to me. The narrator of the audiobook also makes some accent choices that are kind of strange. I was tickled by the comment in the book that with gas at $6 a gallon, they couldn't afford to waste any, when the last time I filled up the tank, it was at $5.99/gallon. 2008 was longer ago than it seems.

I read through the first two books in this series so quickly- and when I got to this one I would stop and start, rinse and repeat. Over the weekend I picked it back up again and now I can not put it down 🙈

I stopped by the library to return The Living Blood after finishing it last weekend and decided to see what other books by Due were available. I found out there's a sequel to The Living Blood! Obviously, it had to come home with me. 🙃
