pickI still really like this book. It follows three chiefs of police in a small Georgia town, from the 1920s to the early 1960s. Each one is trying to solve some vicious murders of young boys that began in the 20s. Issues of racism and misogyny (to a lesser degree) are also dealt with in the novel.
More Chiefs. I am on the last section though, so I should be done soon. It‘s getting a tad hot to walk at lunch; I‘m going to have to move to evening walks soon. #audiowalk
I do not remember that graphic first sex then rape scene from the first time I read this book! I don‘t think it‘s needed to show what a despicable person this particular character is. #audiowalk
More Chiefs. I guess I liked it before because it really is good. I hate it when I reread a book that I once loved and it turns out to be not so good. Glad that‘s not happening with this one. #audiowalk
