Champlain's Dream | David Hackett Fischer
Pickpick

A wonderful history of a great person. A huge book which can seem intimidating but a very worthwhile read. Champlain had a vision of respect and equality in dealing with relations between European and First Nations. He made a lifelong commitment to dealing with the First Nations that was neither fearful nor exploitative.
