John, went East , became an artist, but thing just aren‘t working out.McGuane writes complex characters, often people who burn all their bridges but end up having to try to repair them.McGuane was pretty popular in the 1980s , I always appreciated his strong, conflicted characters, often people who know better but do it anyway.
