I forgot how much I loved this book. Llelo is becoming his own man, but happily and proudly following in Garth‘s footsteps. Woodbury is so faithful to historical truth, she doesn‘t shy away from pregnant women drinking mead. Evan finds himself a lovely bride. It‘s a heartwarming and beautiful story, with some murders and a large scale poisoning to spice things up a bit. The Worthy Soldier is my absolute favourite Gareth and Gwen story this far.

@Texreader just four more books to have the whole series as it currently stands. At least this one section of my shelves is looking REALLY good (apart from the hot pink water bottle...the invisible bookends didn‘t work on this either). I‘m half tempted to take the pink bit off and just go for the glass. Maybe I could fill them with lights and make them glow. 🤷🏼‍♀️

GingerAntics @Texreader I have some fun lights that have a mic in the battery pack and can flash based on the sounds in the room. That could be really fun. I‘m trying to think of fun things I could do with the water bottles or crafty things for bookends until I have enough books to not need them as much. Candles and sand art? 😂🤣😂 3y

5🌟 Another AMAZING Gareth and Gwen story. The always shifting climate of Welsh royalty is so interesting. The weird ways almost everyone in power is related to everyone else is entertaining. Seeing Llelo growing into a man and making decisions about his own life is amazing. Woodbury does such a great job of weaving her own imagination with history is so well done I don‘t ever want this series to end.

GingerAntics This is the second to last book currently available. I found out at the end of this one that the last one currently available was released in January 2018, and the new book comes out later this month (Sept 2018) so hopefully we won‘t have to wait to long for more books in this series. This series is just so good, I will keep reading these books as long as Sarah Woodbury writes them (which I hope is a really long time). 6y

GingerAntics @Texreader it was nice to have that bit of romance, but it was also nice that it was short and sweet so it wasn‘t hijacking the rest of the story. It worked out just the way it should have, I think. I can‘t wait for the new one, though. Even if I probably won‘t get to start it until Friday. lol 6y
