My CR!

Who here did find double 'the' in less than 20 seconds?

Are we all mindful, as we read?

#QOTD

SilversReviews I see it. 😊 6y

BarbaraJean I‘d like to say I caught it first time, but it wasn‘t till the parenthetical that I saw it! Should have put on my editor hat. 😏 6y
RinaBrahmbhattBarot @BarbaraJean get that hat! I was reading this page at night, and read twice before found double 'the' ;) 6y

Usual #Friday night! After a prolonged reading slump and busyness, I'm getting into books again. Who else is reading tonight? #WeekendGoals

My first audiobook from the library. It was a quick and interesting listen. This book would be a great intro for people who find the spiritual aspects of mindfulness to hokey. I did got some insights but this book isn‘t really my thing.

A very interesting look at the idea of mindfulness. #intricate #sterile #science This isn‘t really how I think of mindfulness but it is a great way to see another side to a guiding principle. This is my palette cleanser after finishing #campnanowrimo 👍👍 feeling really good about that. I realize the work has just started as far as getting to a finished product. I went for novella length instead.

So many interesting ideas about how different perspectives limit us (premature cognitive commitments, expectations, education for outcome, a belief in linear time, CONTEXT!) and how challenging those perspectives (directly and indirectly) can effect our aging, struggles with addiction, health, and quality of life in general. I liked the insight that Langer gave into the way she developed her experiments.

Are you mindful of your actions? Do you reall think out your decisions? Over all enjoyable book if you like social psychology type books.
