I remember reading the Newsweek article and being fascinated by it. When I needed to fill a prompt for #NonFiction2020 I went in search of this on Libby. @Riveted_Reader_Melissa

To be honest, at first the book seemed focused on the Doctor being a reckless young adult. However, the chapters set in the war were graphic, heartfelt, and both clinical and humane. Hearing the details of what these brave soldiers went through was haunting.
