so-soThere's a epidemic in Tooting, UK where some bizarre and quite frankly disgusting murders and suicides are taking place and its down to the local police force to figure out what's going on. This is fast paced and a real page turner, I couldn't look away, this book is gory and there is no reader protection here. The author is out to shock and gross you out and he does a brilliant job. Problematic in places (sexism/racism), full review on Goodreads.
bailedI, personally, had to bail. Once I got to a very uncomfortable scene regarding a possessed little girl and a pedo, I couldn't continue on. It is slow, and often very confusing. When it gets gruesome it either doesn't give enough detail or gives too much detail for shock factor (see above complaint scene). There was also a side plot regarding Middle Eastern racism in Britain that wasn't well fleshed out in the part I read.
panThis book was......ridiculous. I heard him compared to Stephen King and Richard Laymon. But...this book was stupid. I kept hoping some horror would sneak up but really just a sweater with a thirst for blood crawled along. I related most to the cops every time they said "none if this makes sense" #GhostVirus #NetGalley
