Secrets for the Mad
Secrets for the Mad: Obsessions, Confessions and Life Lessons | dodie

Find hope in dark times When I feel like I'm going mad, I write. A lot of my worst fears have come true; fears that felt so big I could barely hold them in my head. I was convinced that when they happened, the world would end. But the world didn't end. In fact, it pushed on and demanded to keep spinning through all sorts of mayhem, and I got through it. And because I persisted, I learned lessons about how to be a stronger, kinder, better human lessons you can only learn by going through these sorts of things. This is for the people with minds that just don't stop; for those who feel everything a thousand times more than others around them. Here are some words I wrote.

Because I went to Samoa and didn‘t finish my #7coversinsevendays Here is one I purchased today for $3.50 at The Salvos in Toronto on my way home from work. Isn‘t it pretty?

I don‘t usually read autobiography-based or youtubers‘ books like this but I really enjoyed this one. Witty and quirky throughout, yet touching and meaningful when needed. I‘ve learnt some really important things about family, friends, relationships, alcohol, and even cooking! Dodie is an absolutely precious human with such a naturally poetic and mellifluous style.

Would recommend!

"The theme park in my mind shrank into a little corner, and although I can't visit it anymore, I can still just about see a small girl flying around her colourful world, holding hands with her idols and saving people with her magical powers - the happy hero of many stories." ? #secretsforthemad #dodieclark
