Although I couldn‘t put this book down I‘m hard-pressed to entice others to read it because a gut-wrenching event could impact your emotions as it did mine.
…I‘m intrigued by old contemporary fiction - how the writing meets today‘s norms, how cultural and historical events are viewed then vs now, if the essence of the story still resonates today… This hit all those marks. ↓

I found this book at GJ reading section & borrow it. I've always love Sidney Sheldon, as usual storyline never disappointing. This book is about Jennifer Parker, a brilliant and beautiful young lawyer, survives shattering career setbacks to become one of the most successful defense attorneys in America. I'm still hunting for more of his books, I prefer physical one but very rare locally. Getting from neighboring country kinda impossible right now.

The female protagonist was cool and relatable

Some of my most loved and well-read books. When I go through a period of reading terrible books, I always grab one of these dependable stories. They never disappoint me even though I've read them all over and over. Can't get enough!
