Okay, so I really liked this, but I am a 42-year old woman who loves To Kill a Mockingbird and is fascinated with Harper Lee. Not exactly the intended audience for this picture book biography. There is also zero controversy addressed in this book, whether about “Tru” (Truman Capote) or the circumstances surrounding the publication of Go Set a Watchman. Review continued in comments.

Krisjericho This presents an incomplete picture of a woman most kids don‘t know about until they are older. Love the art, love the background, but there is a lack of a clear audience. 5y

Every Harper Lee fan needs this book and more so if you have children. This is a beautifully illustrated, simple story of the life of Harper Lee and how she came to write our beloved TKAM. I cannot recommend this book highly enough for true fans of Nelle Harper Lee.
