Pickpick

The first 2 books in my Viriconium omnibus were vast and epic. The Floating Gods (titled In Viriconium in my edition) was small and intimate, but no less strange.

A plague of malaise spreads throughout the Low City, and portrait painter Ashlyme must figure out how to get fellow artist Audsley King out of the quarantine zone. That‘s it!

Harrison‘s overwhelming prose is once again the draw, but this is only a Pick for lovers of the surreal.

LeahBergen Okay. I‘m kind of in love with that cover. 😆 6y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk @HeatherBookNerd @LeahBergen That cover is an extremely accurate depiction of the costume a minor character named Emmet Buffo (an astronomer, hence the telescope) wears so he won‘t be recognized in the quarantine zone. Those are pomegranates in the eyes of the skull. (edited) 6y
