His End Game
His End Game | R. Hilliard
1 post | 1 read
Ellie Davis has finally begun to mend the pieces of her shattered heart. With a new job slinging drinks behind the bar at Charlotte's latest hot spot and a crush on her deliciously sexy bar manager things are finally starting to look up. New job plus new man equals the perfect anecdote to help Ellie forget all about bad boy Max McLellan...or so she thinks. This is Ellie's journey and it isn't always pretty. It isn't always neat. It isn't always happy. But it's hers.

This was bad for me. They meet by Max saving Ellie from a possible sexual assault. I don't think sexual assault should be used for a plot point or a romantic encounter. The writing syle is simplistic and lacks character development. Max is controlling and creepy. He breaks into her room, bribes someone to watch her for him and wants to beat up any guy she talks to. There were also a lot of romance tropes. This was not for me.
