#2021Book11
This YA spy thriller is good as long as you can suspend your disbelief enough to go along with the premise that a teenager is fully capable of taking down a terrorist group without adult assistance. And, honestly, I could roll with that plot. Until the end. Then it crossed over and became just a little too ridiculous. However, if I had read this as a teenager, I likely would have had a completely different opinion of it.

Another spy novel I was hoping to love.

I need some spy novels of veteran spies. Both of the ones I‘ve read are about rookies. Also, the protag is black, but I only know that from the cover. He doesn‘t “appear” black on the page. If that makes sense. The language in this book also reads as dated. From the late 90s. But the book is set later because there‘s Twitter. That was weird. It was still a quick, enjoyable read.

A cute spy story. I like a good ya book and also a good spy book, so this seemed like it should be right up my alley. I did enjoy it, but I didn‘t love it. The main character was a little too sure of himself considering the mistakes he kept making. And the spycraft had some issues.

Okay, I probably like the title of this book more than the cover, but I think it fits quite well. This is on my want to read list. It would like a lot of fun (as I think of my guilty pleasure John Tucker Must Die.
