Spent the weekend going back through this series, reading about half of it for the first time, before starting on the final arc, Jupiter's Requiem. I really enjoyed the characters and the conflicts. Very disappointed that Netflix cancelled the TV show, because it was a solid adaptation.

I tried to like this one because I really enjoyed the prequels but the children are just so annoyingly vapid that I was just done with the son. His sense of entitlement, drives the story, but seriously I don't blame anyone for wanting to hit him while the daughter, not likable either, at least realizes a few things about herself so all in all I was entertained.

Not a bad conclusion to the last volume but I felt like I missed a few things, maybe a few single issues that touched back on the characters because I could have sworn this one felt rushed as is because while there was a resolution to the larger story, it feels like some of the smaller ones were left open -ended so I'm undecided if that's because there might be more later but overall I was left wanting more.

Sometimes you get a comic for free and you sit on it for ages (because DUDE, you've got SO MANY COMICS) and when you finally get to it you're like, "Whoa," because it's one of those things where the superheroes stage a coup that effectively makes them supervillains and that's totally your wheelhouse.

But then you realize your library doesn't have Vol 2 and you're sorta crushed. Luckily, you're overdue a trip to your LCS.

TieDyeDude Ha, and there's also Jupiter's Circle Vol. 1& 2, the prequel. The release schedule was all over the place for this comic, so I was buying them and holding off reading them. I think it's done now, I just haven't gotten around to them 6y
xicanti @GoodForCirculation I'll be able to pick up the first half of Jupiter's Circle next week, but it's another case where my library only has the first volume. Sigh. 6y

It's hard to be a superhero kid trying to remain incognito. Lol. Loved this book about the ups and downs of being born into a superhero family. Teenage rebellion! Shady relatives! Unwanted pregnancy! Alien drugs! Bad boy supervillain boyfriends! Lol what else could you want?

This comic is like a superhero "days of our lives." A superhero son rebels against his superhero parents and takes over the White House to fix the country's recession. His teen sister (who's pregnant) goes into hiding with her super villian boyfriend. There's even an evil uncle ( a la Stefano ) too.

BekahB HA! That's a fantastic description. Picking this one up. 8y
Alytrue LOL - you had me at "Stefano"! 8y
