Today was a farewell party to my daughter‘s best friend in Girl Scouts who‘s moving to Oregon. We made her a giant Girl Scout badge cookie.

Bigger news: they invited us to visit and my daughter and I might be going to Portland this summer! And guess what‘s in Portland that I‘ve always wanted to visit?!?! 🤗

Mitch A certain bookstore...! 5y
Texreader @Mitch YES! The mother, knowing how I am about books, used it to persuade us to visit. If I can get the time (on top of our trip to Norway this summer), I‘m there! 5y
Mitch @Texreader it would be rude not to! 🤣 5y

Got this today at her birth place. A reprint of a 1950s comic. Very basic but good to have now we know more about her life. What an interesting woman. And to think I‘ve been a Brownie, a Guide and an assistant leader and I didn‘t know about her. I always thought Baden Powell‘s wife started the Girl Guides. @MrsMalaprop
