This book is about a magic straw hat that came over from Ireland with Caitie‘s Great-Grandmother, it was thought to be magical. The book talks about the ups and down the Great-Grandmother had in America and go over the ups and down that Caitie have that day when her hat blows away and

HNager no one can catch it. She does not want to tell her Grandmother that she lost her prize possession, the straw hat. The hat lands in her Grandmother‘s neighbor‘s garden that hasn‘t bloomed in a long time. As she lift up the hat new crocus has bloomed in the garden. This makes the neighbor happy and Caitie happy as the straw hat is magical after all. 7y
