Villains Rule
Villains Rule | M K Gibson

Hi, how are you? Yes, I am talking to you, the reader of the this book's description. It's rude not to answer a person when they ask you a question. OK, I get it, 4th wall breaking is overdone. Get over it. This book, Villains Rule, is a fantasy action-comedy which you have to read. Not because it redefines the genre, far from it. But rather for what it contains. A villain's tale. How often do you get to read a story where the villain is the protagonist? No, not an anti-hero, or a brooding monster, nor a hero thinly disguised as a villain. And not evil. If you want evil, take that nonsense to therapy. No, I mean a villain's villain. The ones who use their power because they can, while morality is only a philosopher's complex. This is the story of Jackson Blackwell, the Shadow Master and the top villain adviser. Sadly, even the top villain occasionally gets double-crossed. Trapped in one of the fantasy realms, Jackson has to use his skill and wits to exploit the rules, points out the genre flaws, undermine godly authority, and win the day. Because, that is what villains should do, shouldn't they? Read this book, have a few laughs, and find out.

Hey everyone! I am back with a new question! I enjoyed everyone‘s theme songs last week, but now I want to know which villain do you prefer? Doesn‘t matter if it is from the comics, the movies, or tv show, everyone has a favorite! Who is yours?

Also I had a lot of great suggestions for a new name for my Sunday questions, thank you to everyone that suggested something. You all are amazing!!! I decided to go with.....

#SimplySunday

AsYouWish Mine has changed over the years, as a kid I loved Catwoman, as a teen it was Two-Face, as a college student it was Scarecrow, & now as an adult it is The Riddler. Today it is the Riddler because as a fan of Gotham, I loved his origin story & his way of outsmarting everyone. Plus I loved his relationship with Penguin! He is charming & has a way of making you see things his way! 5y
madamereadsalot1 @AsYouWish mine has always been The Riddler, followed closely by Catwoman. The Riddler, because his intelligence, goofiness, and he's always just looked cool in my opinion. And Catwoman, simply because she and Batman have the best dynamic. 5y
Meaw_catlady Poison ivy! She‘s so beautiful and so cunning 💚 5y

AsYouWish @Meaw_catlady Poison Ivy is an awesome villain!!! Thanks for playing!!! 5y
DaveGreen7777 I‘ve always had a soft spot in my heart for The Riddler. Admittedly, he is the very epitome of a “gimmick” villain, but the brilliance of the Riddler‘s gimmick is that it requires some extra creativity on the writers part in developing his schemes and clues. Other villains can sometimes be marred by unimaginative writing (even the Joker was reduced to being defined by his brutality in the late 80s), but the Riddler guarantees a story worth reading 5y
DaveGreen7777 @Meaw_catlady Before Neil Gaiman wrote Sandman, he wrote two of my favorite Poison Ivy related stories of all time. One is a revamp of Ivy‘s history from the Secret Origins series (this was reprinted in the “Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader” TPB), and Ivy also played a minor but memorable role in Gaiman‘s Black Orchid miniseries (Also reprinted as a TPB). They‘re definitely worth seeking out if you haven‘t read them already! 😀 5y
Meaw_catlady @DaveGreen7777 I am super glad you told me this!! I will be hunting for these now! I am currently reading Hush and the way Ivy is drawn in that is so good! 5y
DaveGreen7777 Happy to help, @Meaw_catlady! 😊 5y
AsYouWish @DaveGreen7777 I have always found The Riddler‘s riddles clever and I commend the writers for how creative they had to be and I know with Gotham sometimes I would pause it to see if I could figure out the riddle before it was revealed, I often failed! Thanks for playing!! 5y

Great audiobook! Sarcastic, dark and funny. It‘s about a villain named Jackson Blackwell who is an advisor to other villains on how to be more evil and treacherous.
