#1 New York Times bestselling author Daniel Silvas celebrated debut novel, The Unlikely Spy, is A ROLLER-COASTER WORLD WAR II ADVENTURE that conjures up memories of the best of Ken Follett and Frederick Forsyth (The Orlando Sentinel). In wartime, Winston Churchill wrote, truth is so precious that she should always be attended by a bodyguard of lies. For Britains counterintelligence operations, this meant finding the unlikeliest agent imaginablea history professor named Alfred Vicary, handpicked by Churchill himself to expose a highly dangerous, but unknown, traitor. The Nazis, however, have also chosen an unlikely agent. Catherine Blake is the beautiful widow of a war hero, a hospital volunteerand a Nazi spy under direct orders from Hitler: uncover the Allied plans for D-Day... From the Paperback edition.

Pickpick

This is a good book for those who are new to reading. I am new to reading and wanted a book where in I don't have to Google words/concept every now and then and break my link of reading. On a personal level the book talks about the world of SPY during the time of 1939 to 1945 in Europe(Germany/England) and is really well articulated. This book also gives a good exposure to world war II events and incidents, thus was quite informative for me.

Some of my favourite male characters that you would send for in a crisis, but who like to operate #OnMyOwn. All great series that I am slowly working my way through, from top left clockwise we have Joe Hunter, Gabriel Allon, Mitch Rapp, Jack Reacher. #MelodiousMusicals

DGRachel Gabriel Allon is swoony, right @Cinfhen ? 😍😍 7y
CrowCAH Wow four lone men doing their duty! Haven‘t read any, but they sound badass! 7y
Andrew65 @CrowCAH They are all excellent series. 😊 7y

JewelsEnd I haven't read Hilton, but have read the other three. I have all of Flynn's early stuff but after 9/11 his books became... Rough?... more political and it pulled me out of the story too much. Still, always loved the name Mitch rapp.. 7y
Andrew65 @JewelsEnd I would recommend the Joe Hunter (Matt Hilton) books, he's British but virtually all the books set in the U.S. 7y
Cinfhen Yup!Always @DGRachel 🤤🤤🤤 7y
JewelsEnd @Andrew65 will check em out! 7y
