I just finished reading Streets of Darkness, the debut crime novel by AA Dhand set in Bradford, England. The author has an original voice and it is an excellent read. I highly recommend it.

This was a very enjoyable thriller set in modern day Bradford. Harry Virdee is a sikh police detective, suspended from his job following an incident when his muslim wife is insulted. The story skilfully weaves racial tensions with good character and a pacey plot.

A busy week so its friday night beer and I'm looking forward to finishing this very enjoyable thriller - a sikh police man, bit of a maverick, married to a muslim woman in Bradford yorkshire is hunting the murderer of the newly elected muslim mp. A real page turner. Happy weekend reading everyone, im hoping to catch up on some threads this week.
