pickReview of Doctor Who: Night of the Whisper
A pick for this two-handed 9th Doctor audio adventure. I like DW stories with comic book sort of characters, apparently (see also The Return of Doctor Mysterio). And it is so good to have more airtime for Nine.
Next up in audio: another Destiny of the Doctor audio-snack. This one, The Night of the Whisper, features the Ninth Doctor. Tagged with “The Big Finish Companion“ until I can get the actual book added to the database.
Big Finish has a big announcement: Christopher Eccleston will be reprising his role as the Ninth Doctor in 12 full-cast audio dramas, to be released in four sets of 3. First set comes out May 2021. And yes, I have already preordered them 😆 #ShutUpAndTakeMyMoney
My favourite Christmas present so far is the one from me to me: the Twelfth Doctor audiobook bundle from last month's Big Finish sale 😁 #BookHaul
Some personal life stuff derailed my gym schedule over the last two weeks, so the only Big Finish audio I completed was the Fifth Doctor story Time In Office. But what a great story it was! The Doctor gets recalled to Gallifrey and forced into the presidency (which he promised to take over at the end of The Five Doctors). It's really four connected short stories, and it's the funniest Big Finish I've heard in a while. Highly recommended!
Good thing I did not make any resolutions to stop buying Big Finish audio dramas 😉
