bibliobliss @GarthRanzz I‘m glad you enjoy that type of comedy/humor. Not everyone does and I just don‘t get it because I think it‘s hilarious. I always think “how can you not laugh at this?!” I love Steve Martin so much and especially that movie! It came out almost a decade before I was born but I‘m glad my parents exposed me to this classic! Lol 6y
GarthRanzz I‘ve always loved Martin. In all of his phases. But that particular movie probably cracks me up the most. I‘m glad your parents let you see it too! Let it move on to the next generation! 😊 Now I‘m off to hunt down a copy. 6y
bibliobliss @GarthRanzz Awesome 😎 let me know when you land a copy! It‘s about time for a re-watch in our family as well! 6y

• “The idea is vital. Telling a good story demands a great conception, a great idea for why the story works—for what it is and how it connects to the human condition. It is about ideas, about narration, about telling a story. You must be able to point to something larger.” ~ from “The Narrative Idea” by David Halberstam •

• “The book IS the idea. Once you have the idea, it just flows out. This is perhaps the best advice I can offer. Taking an idea, a central point, and pursuing it, turning it into a story that tells something about the way we live today, is the essence of narrative journalism.” ~ from “The Narrative Idea” by David Halberstam •
