Blue Ridge Sunrise
Blue Ridge Sunrise | Denise Hunter
6 posts | 8 read | 4 to read
Former free spirit Zoe Collins swore she'd never again set foot in Copper Creek or speak to the man who broke her heart. But return she must when her beloved Granny dies, leaving the family legacy to Zoe--a peach orchard nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. When Zoe returns home with her daughter and boyfriend Kyle, she finds that she's the only person in town who doesn't expect her to give up the life she's established far away from Copper Creek. Everyone believes she was born to run the orchard, but how can she make it her home after so many years? Cruz Huntley never quite got over his first love Zoe Collins, the little sister of his best friend Brady. Not when she cheated on him during their "break," not when she took off to parts unknown with good-for-nothing Kyle Jenkins, and not even now--five years later. As life-changing decisions and a history with Cruz hang over Zoe's head, tensions rise between her and Kyle. Even as she comes to terms with the shifting relationships in her life, Zoe still isn't sure if she can remain in Copper Creek with her new responsibilities . . . and her first love.

Mehso-so

A few days home sick with no voice and painful sore throat. I'm glad my nightstand book stack is tall while I'm in seclusion.

I usually like simple return to hometown romances but I feel like I've read this one before. Too similar to another title? Another author? Not sure why it seemed so familiar. O-well, on to the next book.

cobwebmoth Hope you feel better soon! 6y
MaggieCarr @cobwebmoth thanks! Steroids make me restless. Guessing I'll finish another book or two before returning to work. 6y

PageTurnersAndSweetTea @Aims42 we just did yesterday get to the 70s and 80s here. I also just got a new “porch”(I don‘t have a porch porch so had to get a swing from Walmart lol) swing with a canopy on it to sit out and read and enjoy the weather. I‘m sorry your having cold again. Where are you at? 6y

PageTurnersAndSweetTea @Aims42 I‘m in North Carolina :) It‘s finally staying warmer so I‘m going to enjoy it while I can incase NC decides to go back to Sprinter. 6y
Aims42 @CafinatedReads09 LOL, good thinking! I visited Charlotte last summer, NC was a lot of fun💖 Ugh, hoping we don‘t hang with ‘sprinter‘ for much longer 😩 6y

Funny story- when I pick books from the library, I rarely read what they are about because I like a surprise. This one, i guess I didn‘t see the giant romance sticker on it! This was my first time reading a romance novel and I can‘t say that I would do it again. Quick, easy read

I wish I could say this was a pick because I really like Denise Hunter. Unfortunately, it was more of s so-so. I felt like DH was trying too hard to come up with another series. The characters were not fully fleshed out imo. This was a #netgalley read. ⭐️⭐️

Pickpick

Denise Hunter never fails to deliver! Emotionally charged and suspenseful, I couldn‘t put Blue Ridge Sunrise down until I turned the last page. Our leading lady is one stubborn girl (ahem, I can relate) and she bears the consequences for her decisions as we journey through from her 15 year old self to her wiser 24 year old self.
