This is a great read if you grew up in the 1970s, I have spent a cold afternoon under a blanket laughing out loud for most of it and crying at the end.

Audio book. Fun, nostalgic read. Makes me crave the easy-breezy summer days of being a kid, growing up in the 70s. Loved this memoir completely!!!

I saw that only around 40% rated this book a pick. Is that because the ones who didn't like it didn't grow up in the 1970s like me? This outfit was my favorite from 1975, laying on my table that I got around the same time. I'm three years younger than the author, so I could remember almost all the references to the era he wrote about and the book was really fun read for me.

Totally selected for the cover. Then I realized I adored the author's contributions in Sports Illustrated. Finally got around to enjoying a delightful memoir of being a kid in the Midwest of the 1970s. ❤️
