Some light relief, visiting with Georgie and Lucia in Riseholme, although in this one the pair are separated when Lucia is drawn to the bright lights of the previously abhorred London. Falling in with the chic metropolitan set, Lucia callously drops her Riseholme friends, and goes so far as to adopt the new 'shingled' hairstyle, which raises several Riseholme eyebrows when she returns for a visit.
She's a beastly woman, but fascinating.

I couldn't help myself. I needed to check in on Lucia again (and have already caught myself snickering).

A touch of Lucia on the train this morning. I usually find her less monstrous than Miss Mapp so we'll see how it goes. Sometimes these skirt the edges of too much for me - I'm not good with humiliation comedy.
