so-soUmmm, I am not really sure what happened but it sounded pretty. Apparently her writing is entertaining enough I don't need to know what is going on? So, not sure why I liked this but I kind of did. Most vague review ever? Maybe, maybe not. If you need a clear plot or likeable characters, back away.
panI didn't like this as much as I thought I would. I like weird and obscure, but... This one just was too bizarre for me I guess. If the story was a bigger part of the book I may have loved this. But I felt I was spiralling out with no control or grounding in what was happening, this book is all about atmosphere. Don't get me wrong parts of it were interesting. I just don't imagine myself reaching for it for a reread. Once was definitely enough.
Went to a reading tonight intending to get my copy of Gutshot signed by Amelia Gray and ended up loving her voice and style so much that I bought another of her books 📚
Ok I don't think I'll continue reading this book, around chapter 10 I realize it's a bit...weirder than I thought.
Wow this book reminds me so much of "Twin Peaks"', maybe not the plot but the type of writing gives it a "Twin Peaks"-ish feel! I read about this book online and it was recommended for Twin Peaks fans and, well, they were right! I am so happy I found this book-I'm going to read every book by this author if the rest are all this good!
