pickGreat book. I hope they translate it to English soon because I know a lot of Littens that would seriously enjoy it. It‘s about women authors and how they went above and beyond the limitations of their time and place since ancient Mesopotamia to very conservative and traditional countries today. Included excerpts from all kinds of examples of their work. It seemed pretty well documented and its not a long or difficult book. Really enjoyed it.

This book by Spanish poet Clara Janés sounds amazing! It's the product of her years of investigating the education and boundaries of women involved in the arts, but special in literature. From Assyrian poet Enhudana to the female knight orders it sounds absolutely fascinating and right up my alley. Now If I could get someone in Spain to get it for me! (Btw the title means "Keeping the house and shutting your mouth", cause you know ?)
