Bethany travels to a new fictional world to rescue her father in this third book in the New York Times bestselling series, Story Thieveswhich was called a fast-paced, action-packed tale by School Library Journalfrom the author of the Half Upon a Time trilogy. Owen and Bethany have sworn off jumping into books for good. But they didnt make any promises about not jumping through strange portals that lead to a comic book world. Jupiter City was once filled with brightly costumed superheroes and villains, but nowadays, theres nothing left but the Dark. Even the villains are terrified of the Darks shadows, and most of the heroes have either disappeared or been lost to mind control. The one hero who might have stopped all of this, Doc Twilight, has been imprisoned by the Dark. But who is Doc Twilight really? And how can Bethany and Owen defeat the Dark without superpowers of their own? Theyll definitely need the help of some old friends and new allies to bring the light back to Jupiter City, and find out the truth behind the Dark. It all comes back to Bethanys own secret origins. What really happened when her fictional father disappeared years ago? Who is Nobody, and why is he writing these Story Thieves books? And what kind of supervillain name is The Rotten Banana?

Nice book, but I started to think why I keep reading books with no true answer. This book is in a series but the next book gives me options, it's called pick the plot, in that book they will give me plot twists or at plot and I have to choose, no that it will affect the authors decision but still, NO ANSWERS!! Anyways, I'm still trying to figure out if i want to throw to book across the room and be mad at it, or hug it and be relaxed. 😅

I am soooo confused. Before I started the Quartet of the giver I had left the story thieves series in the middle, so basically I started another series in the middle of a series because the book was being shipped. Now I've started on a book from the first series and have left the Quartet in the middle. I have no clue what is going on! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Enjoyed the third book in the series, which I thought was going to be the end. I found out there are two more books! We will get to them eventually. Awesome series. My fifth grade son gives it 5 out of 5 😃

The kids and I are reading (and enjoying) the last book in this series. This book has a character named Doc Twilight. I was reading out-loud and noticed I said Doc Hollywood instead. I apologized and made the correction. My son then let me know that I had made that mistake at least three times previously.
